In one of the highlights of the YPCS08, Voces8 (www.voces8.com) will perform an evening concert of repertoire ranging from 13th century polyphony to contemporary composers and unique jazz arrangements. The concert will feature works by Gibbons, Holst and Gershwin, as well as a composition by the Artistic Director of the New London Orchestra, Ronald Corp.

Acting as a showcase for the lunchtime concert series at the Foundling Museum, this concert aims to raise awareness of the lunchtime series and the wonderful Museum where the concerts take place. Handel was organist at St George’s and was a major benefactor of the Foundling Hospital. The Museum holds the original manuscript of the famous composition ‘Messiah’ and I am keen to encourage the link which this composer has between the two venues.
