JOB TITLE:
Orchestral Projects Manager
LOCATION:
Central London
SALARY:
£20,000 - £22,000
CONTRACT TYPE:
Full time, initial fixed 6 month contract
The New London Orchestra is looking for an experienced and efficient projects manager with at least 2 years experience in the arts, preferably from within the orchestral sector.
As part of a busy small team, the post includes managing the Orchestra’s large-scale community project in Newham, and all aspects of Orchestral management including fixing, librarian duties and payments.
The candidate will
- Have at least 2 years experience in orchestral/project management
- Possess computer literacy, database management & finance skills, especially Word and Excel
- Be efficient, punctual and good at time-management when juggling a number of separate projects
- Demonstrate clear, focused writing skills and attention to detail
- Be fluent in written and spoken English

Volunteer Placement scheme
Position(s) available
from May 2006
The New London Orchestra 's Volunteer Placement scheme offers opportunities for one or two placements for six months, part or full time. Placements gain experience in all aspects of the running of the Orchestra, including its education work, orchestral and concert management, researching funding schemes, assisting with general office management, and assisting in marketing and promoting corporate events and training.
